This is a painting of the cliff swallows that swoop under the bridge over the French Broad River by Asheville’s River Arts District. I watched them often swooping around near my feet one spring while I was living in my little studio. It is quite a magical experience to see them all, thousands of them busy at work on their mud homes. This painting is an ode to them and the delightfulness they brought to my life during that time.
