Slow Elegant Staged Abiding

$2,700.00

This painting was created in 2018 in my studio in Asheville, NC with black walnut ink and hand stitching on cotton fabric.

Dimensions: 55” x 55” (framed)

This painting is a portrait of my friend Kris. The title comes from a quote by teacher and writer Steven Jenkinson, “No hurry, slow elegant staged abiding. Allow Time itself to be the medium in which we find each other. Proceed freely with Time.” -Steven Jenkinson

A dear friend of mine has been a student in his “Orphan Wisdom School” and shared with me this quote from her own notes. It sat, taped to my wall in my studio until it found its way into the title of this painting.
